The Process department is the beating heart of the company: without it, everything would fall apart! As Yource, we protect traveler’s rights in the case of a delayed, cancelled or overbooked flight and we claim compensation when it’s due. Unfortunately, airlines often try to discredit passenger rights and that’s where the Process team comes in. We make sure people are heard and helped in a personal way so that they still get what they are rightfully entitled to. With our ambition to grow 100% each year until 2020, it is necessary to always go the extra mile. This means there are a lot of claims to process! Within the process department, we therefore work hard on validating the incoming claims, updating customers on their status, standing up against airlines and releasing our inner detective skills to find the best solution. As a Junior Claims Specialist, you’ll be the core of our service with your daily activities being the direct link to more happy travelers around the world.
What a possible day could look like for you
It’s 09:00 when you enter the office: you greet your colleagues and take your seat in your team. Today is going to be an interesting day as Transavia had a strike yesterday. You’re expecting to get quite a few claims on this matter which means there’s a lot of potential travelers you can help! You open Slack and notice there have been quite a few funny Giphy’s sent around already. You receive your daily targets from Zusanna and Juan, Medior Claims Specialists, and start digging in. After processing a few claims, you notice a passenger made a mistake while uploading her passport. You ask your Country Manager, Miquel, what to do and find out you can simply notify the passenger with an automated message through the system. Another mystery solved!
After replying to some emails from both airlines and customers, it’s lunch time already. You decide to take a nice stroll through the Vondelpark as the weather is finally great. When you get back to the office and process more claims, you notice you already reached your daily target. You tell Miquel and he compliments you on your good work. The timing also couldn’t be better: Lisette (Medior Claims Specialist) was actually just looking for some help, so this is a good opportunity for you to learn about more senior tasks. Before you know it, the working day is already over - time for some Friday drinks!
