Unfortunately, airlines often try to discredit passenger rights and that’s where the Process team comes in. We make sure people are heard and helped in a personal way so that they still get what they are rightfully entitled to. With our ambition to grow 100% each year until 2020, it is necessary to always go the extra mile. This means there are a lot of claims to proces! Within the legal department, we therefore work hard on validating the incoming claims, updating customers on their status, standing up against airlines and releasing our inner detective skills to find the best solution. As a Paralegal, you’ll be the core of our service with your daily activities being the direct link to more happy travellers around the world.
What a possible day could look like for you
You grab your tea or coffee and start checking your schedule for today: Our German law firm has requested further information regarding a couple of cases you have transferred to them last week. You are checking these cases and provide our attorneys with the required information. After that you are answering a few more questions from clients regarding their ongoing court cases making sure these clients stay up to date. Then there is good news: You were intensively negotiating with an airline regarding the settlement of a big claim and finally the airline agreed to pay out. You are happy to share the good news with our customers. Before going to a relaxing lunchbreak you are still preparing for your meeting with the legal team in the afternoon. You are excited because you will present the results of your research for a legal project that was assigned to you and indeed this goes very well: You get the green light to work out the implementation of your findings and so you are already scheduling a meeting next week with Lysania, your Claims Specialist colleague from the process team. Then you are updating the legal data base by adding a few new passenger friendly verdicts which you have recently found during research. You give a short explanation of these verdicts to the process team to make sure we are using this new legal insights in favour of the passengers in our daily working routine. Wow, that day passed on so fast – it’s already time to pick up a few colleagues to grab a drink at the bar next to the office.
